About The Program
Quality Preschool for Ages 3-5. We offer a caring and supportive environment for our youngest learners to encourage healthy growth and school readiness.
Following Virginia Kindergarten Readiness Requirements and our own high-quality standards, we provide income-based childcare and:
- Fun educational activities
- Nutritious meals & snacks
- Qualified, nurturing teachers
- Family services
- Full year, Monday through Friday from 7:00a – 5:00p

Applications can be completed on site at 206 N. Main Street in Galax, all are welcome to apply.
Monthly copayments start at $0 for families with income at or below the federal poverty levels and increase as a family’s income increases. In order to maximize affordable access to ECCE serviced for families eligible for mixed delivery the total family copayment for all children enrolled in mixed delivery will not exceed 7% of countable income for the family. Mixed delivery staff will assist in determining the copayment rate when more than one child in a family is enrolled.
